As they commemorate 26 years of marriage, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex disclosed that their healthy marital life is largely due to their status as “best friends.”
On day three of Royal Ascot, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh went out to celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary while on royal duty.

“I believe they have stated it directly. She declared, “They are best friends.” In her heartfelt 60th birthday tribute, Sophie described her husband as “the best of fathers, the most loving of husbands, and still my best friend.”
