RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Asim Munir praised US President Donald Trump during a rare high-level meeting for his “constructive and result-oriented role” in mediating a truce with India after the two nuclear-armed neighbors’ military clash last month.
The development occurred during the two leaders’ lunch meeting at the White House Cabinet Room on Wednesday. Field Marshal Munir was joined by the national security adviser of Islamabad, while the US president was accompanied by Secretary of State Senator Marco Rubio and US Special Representative for Middle Eastern Affairs Steve Witkoff.
