In order to reduce political tensions in the nation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Senator Shibli Faraz asked the PML-N-led coalition government in the center to go beyond rhetoric and have substantive discussions on Monday.
His comments followed last week’s fresh offer of discussion from the government to the former ruling party. Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s adviser on political and public affairs, has stated that the government was still willing and able to engage in discussion with the opposition on any political issue.
After meeting with opposition members, Sanaullah told reporters on June 26 that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made a clear and open invitation to the opposition from the House floor, indicating that he was willing to engage in dialogue.
