At the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in Jeonju-si, South Korea, Pakistan defeated the Maldives in their fifth group-stage match on Tuesday, securing their spot in the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025 semifinals.
Pakistan prevailed 49-39 in a fiercely contested game, maintaining a slim lead for the whole of the play.
They had a 14–12 lead at the end of the first quarter, a 24-26 deficit at the half, a 35–32 lead in the third, and a strong finish in the final session to seal the victory.
The team’s victory was greatly aided by the exceptional performances of players like Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, and Leya Raza Shah.
