KARACHI: The highly regarded Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Film Festival 2025, which will take place in Yongchuan, Chongqing, China from July 3–7, 2025, has extended an official invitation to the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Pakistani horror film Deemak to take part.
The SCO festival, which is organized under China’s rotating chairmanship, unites ten member states and two observer states to promote cross-cultural cinematic cooperation.
The film “Deemak” by Geo will be screened alongside other films from the region under the festival’s theme, “Film & Technology – Charm of the SCO.”
Co-hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and the China Film Administration, the festival seeks to showcase technological developments in the SCO’s film industry.
