Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was accused by MNA Sher Afzal Marwat on Tuesday of being “responsible” for his expulsion from the party.
Speaking on TV’s “Red Line with Talat” show, Marwat stated: “Imran Khan maintains that the establishment has all power and that any talks must take place with them. The establishment, however, has already stated unequivocally that it cannot turn on the administration.
He maintained that there would be no conclusion if negotiations were limited to the establishment. The PTI leaders were criticized by Marwat for attributing their personal “failures” to Imran Khan.
Marwat repeated that the PTI is currently divided and beset by actions that are motivated by hatred, but he rejected the idea that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would be overthrown.
