Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has put an end to recent rumors on social media and other platforms by clarifying that there are no plans to rename the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology after Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The minister stressed that the institute will continue to use its current name in a statement posted on X (previously Twitter). “No changes are being considered, and the name ‘Jinnah Institute of Cardiology Lahore’ remains ‘Jinnah Institute of Cardiology Lahore,'” she wrote.
The project is a component of Punjab’s continuous endeavors to fortify the healthcare sector, Marriyum Aurangzeb added. “The ‘Jinnah Institute of Cardiology’ has been designated as the recipient of funding in the Punjab government’s Annual Development Program for the fiscal year 2025-26,” she affirmed.
