According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Tuesday, the average inflation rate for the fiscal year 2024–2025 was 4.49 percent.
Details show that in June, inflation was 3.23 percent. According to the PBS, June inflation was 0.23 percent higher than May inflation. In June 2025, urban areas saw a 0.8% increase in inflation.
In June 2025, urban regions’ annual inflation rate stayed at 3%.
In contrast, rural areas saw a 0.47 percent increase in inflation in June 2025. In rural areas, annual inflation was 3.58 percent.
This month, the cost of sixteen food items went up.
The price of eggs increased by 8.82%, potatoes by 25.74%, onions by 15.26%, and tomatoes by 57.33%.
