According to US President Donald Trump, Israel has consented to the “necessary conditions” to finalize a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza.
Trump stated that the US would “work with all parties to end the war” in a post on Truth Social. He provided no information about the proposed truce.
“I hope… that Hamas takes this deal, because it will not get better—IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE,” Trump stated in a tweet.
Israel has not acknowledged that it accepted the terms. A Hamas representative told the news that if the fighting ended, the party was “ready and serious” to come to an agreement.
According to a Palestinian official who is aware of Hamas’s talks with mediators, the plan made no significant adjustments to a previous offer that the party turned down in June.
