The White House said on Tuesday that it had stopped sending some weaponry to Ukraine.
After a defense department review of US “military support and assistance to other countries,” the decision was made “to put America’s interests first,” according to White House spokesman Anna Kelly.
The foreign ministry cautioned that any delays “would only encourage the aggressor to continue war and terror, rather than seek peace,” while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the two nations were currently “clarifying all the details on supplies.”
The ministry specifically emphasized the necessity for Kyiv to bolster its air defenses, given that Russia is still bombarding the nation with drones and missiles almost every night.
On Wednesday, the foreign ministry invited a U.S. official headquartered in Kyiv to speak.
