Harry Dunn’s family stated they want the results of an investigation of the Foreign Office’s (FO) handling of the matter to be made public. Dunn was a teenage collision victim.
The investigation will focus on the FO’s assistance to the Dunns following the 2019 incident at RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire where a car driven by Anne Sacoolas on the wrong side of the road struck the 19-year-old’s motorcycle.
The United States claimed Sacoolas had diplomatic immunity from prosecution, therefore she fled the country following the incident.
According to Charlotte Charles, Harry’s mother, “I won’t accept anything less than a full, open, and transparent process.”
Dame Anne Owers, a former chief inspector of prisons, will chair the investigation, which is anticipated to be disclosed on Thursday.
