The issue of tourists drowning in the Swat River was heard by the Peshawar High Court.
The hearings were presided over by Chief Justice SM Atiq Shah and a two-member bench.
The Chief Justice questioned the state of the inquiry officer and the investigation’s advancement during the hearing, as well as the reason for the Commissioner of Malakand Division’s absence. The Chairman of the Inquiry Committee was summoned to the court right away, per the Chief Justice’s instruction.
When the chairman of the inquiry committee appeared in court, he affirmed that the committee had been to Swat following the unfortunate event and was now working on a thorough report.
