In anticipation of a strong monsoon season that is predicted to start throughout the province on July 5, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a high alert.
The PDMA predicts that the monsoon season’s second intense phase will begin on July 5 and that there will be a lot of rainfall, especially on Youm-e-Ashura. PDMA has prepared a thorough plan to handle rain-related issues during Ashura processions in advance.
To avoid water buildup, drainage and water disposal systems have been turned on along procession routes. Special monitoring desks have also been set up in control rooms to guarantee prompt action and efficient coordination across the province.
