A Pakistani prosthetics company called Bioniks has successfully fitted a prosthetic arm to a war-affected girl from Gaza named Sidra, in a heartening demonstration of cross-border humanitarian assistance.
With the help of their official partner in Jordan, Mufaaz, the company stated on Thursday that the effort was made feasible. This marks the start of a larger mission to help people with disabilities in the war-torn Gaza Strip.
Sidra is the first beneficiary of Bioniks’ humanitarian initiative designed especially for Gaza. She lost her arm during the continuing violence.
“This marks the beginning of Bioniks’ mission to rehabilitate the disabled in Gaza,” the firm wrote in a social media statement. The bravery and tenacity of thousands of victims in the area are reflected in Sidra’s story.
