According to sources, Airblue has applied in writing to the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority to run flights to the country.
Beginning in August, the airline intended to run flights between Islamabad and Manchester.
Along with Airblue, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has already applied for flights to the UK and is awaiting approval from the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority to start operations.
As the ban on Pakistani airlines is lifted, PIA releases the flight schedule for the UK.
Following a five-year ban, Pakistani airlines are now able to operate in British airspace after the UK formally removed Pakistan from its air safety list a few days ago.
Pakistani communities overseas, travelers, and aviation officials have all expressed relief and hope as a result of the development.
