In Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar late Monday night, at least two individuals were shot dead and three others were injured in what police believe to be an armed assault involving multiple gunmen.
According to police, who cited eyewitnesses, the attackers arrived late at night outside a Pehlwan Goth business in a car and on a motorcycle, then started shooting.
Given that spent bullet casings and a magazine were discovered at the scene, preliminary results point to the employment of numerous firearms.
Police are looking into the motive, which is currently unknown.
Allama Sadiq Jafri, the leader of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), denounced the attack and demanded that those responsible be apprehended right once.
