In a significant move to enhance public transportation, the Sindh government has chosen to start a new train service on a brief route between Rohri and Karachi.
The initiative is a component of a larger strategy to restore rail connectivity throughout the province and make travel easier for millions of people.
The declaration was made at a crucial meeting between a delegation from Pakistan Railways and Sindh Energy and Planning Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, during which the parties decided to work together on several railway development projects.
The Rohri-Karachi track has been prioritized.
Nasir Shah described the new railway track from Rohri to Karachi as the “need of the hour” and named it a priority project during the conference.
