WANA: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Imran Ullah reported Thursday that a remote-controlled explosion near a police van in the Wana Rustam Bazar neighborhood of Lower South Waziristan had killed at least two people and injured fourteen more.
According to DSP Imran, an emergency has been declared at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Wana, and two of the injured are in severe condition. The police have confirmed that the injured also include two police officers.
The event occurred one day after three members of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) were killed when unknown assailants opened fire on their car in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa city of Karak’s Garagri neighborhood.
