Ahead of Independence Day festivities, the district administration of Islamabad has banned the usage and sale of plastic horns, or bajay, in the nation’s capital.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon ordered authorities to seize all such things from stalls throughout the federal capital, according to a statement posted on X.
Additionally, he instructed all magistrates and assistant commissioners to start field operations right now in order to enforce the ban.
The deputy commissioner also issued a warning, saying that any officer who is found to be careless or whose area is discovered to have kiosks selling prohibited goods will be held accountable.
In order to preserve public order and prevent noise-related disruptions during the Independence Day festivities, he directed cops to conduct operations every day until August 14.
