To promote high-quality Pakistani mangoes and items made from them, the Pakistan Embassy organized a mango festival in Beijing on Wednesday in cooperation with Ms. Hao Yuejiao of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council’s Asia-Africa Trade Promotion Office.
The event, with the title “Golden Silk Road Mangoes: A True Oriental Treasure,” honored Pakistan’s world-class fruit exports, rich agricultural legacy, and bountiful territory.
Mangoes, referred to as the “King of Fruits,” are essential to Pakistani culture and customs, according to Ambassador Khalil Hashmi.
Sharing Pakistani mangoes with Chinese friends is a sign of Pakistan’s warmth and friendliness, he added, adding that their sweetness and aroma make them a symbol of hospitality and friendship.
