Bruce Willis suffers from dementia, an incurable illness. Emma Heming, his wife, will soon publish a book on her experiences taking care of him.
The British model revealed details about her impending book in an email, saying, “A doctor’s office is often the first place a person learns about this sickness. How this information is communicated from the doctor to the patient and their loved one is crucial, in my opinion.”
“It is essential to have resources and information easily accessible,” she went on. I am aware that, regrettably, the stories of myself and the other care partners I have spoken to are similar.
stating, “We left that office with close to no resources or support and with a diagnosis that I could hardly pronounce.”
The autobiography went on to say that it “offers a thoughtful, inspiring guide for those seeking support while navigating a loved one’s dementia.”
Bruce’s family first revealed last year that the megastar has frontotemporal dementia, while aphasia was his original diagnosis in 2022.
