National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has taken considerable efforts toward austerity, returning needless procedure, increased security, and cutting staffing levels at the Speaker House.
According to sources close to the situation, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq personally initiated these spending cuts, demonstrating a commitment to fiscal restraint. This included recalling six vehicles from the designated squad and sending back around 40 staffers who had previously been assigned to the Speaker House.
According to sources, some of the returned staff have been assigned to former Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf’s private and official residences. According to sources, as a result of these steps, the Speaker House will now have a reduced workforce of four to five personnel.
Furthermore, Speaker Sadiq has requested information on the current fiscal year’s budget, including spending for parliamentary delegations during the previous speaker’s tenure.
