The first £35-per-ticket “Willy’s Chocolate Experience” in Scotland gained attention and became the subject of numerous memes after pictures of its nearly empty warehouse space, furnished with a bouncy castle and very few props, surfaced.
Promoters have now produced a Californian counterpart, complete with AI-generated artwork, in an attempt to mimic the drab interior design and lackluster booths of Glasgow.
A few candy cane props lined the ruffled green carpet entryway of the similarly uninspired warehouse, which served as the venue for the one-night-only pop-up event.
Two complimentary jelly beans were included with each $44 (£35) ticket, and attendees were encouraged to “step into a world of pure imagination at Willy’s Chocolate Experience Los Angeles as chocolate memes come to life”.
