After being spit upon by the guard of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Panzani Cheema, a London resident, claimed she was left in shock.
According to a story published by Geo News last week, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has accused former guard Farid Nemouchi with common assault after he allegedly spat on Cheema, a financial industry employee from Brunei.
Nawaz was briefly interviewed by Pakistani media on September 16 of last year, just before the tragedy. Cheema had just walked out of Hasan Nawaz’s office, filming and asking questions as Nemouchi was leaving to take Nawaz home.
Cheema had rapped on the car’s window. As Nemouchi drove Nawaz, he rolled down the window and greeted the woman
“Hello,” the woman greeted Nawaz Sharif, adding, “I’ve heard you’re a very corrupt politician in Pakistan.”
The motorist allegedly cranked up the window, spat on her face, and drove off, furious by the remark. Cheema’s phone captured the entire event.
