The SSGC authorities discovered gas theft valued at an astounding Rs 150.65 million during raids in Liaquatabad, Korangi, Mehran Town, and other areas of Karachi.
A representative for SSGCL stated that the offenders were unlawfully removing roughly 5.073 million cubic meters of gas straight out of SSGC’s service lines.
The gas theft detecting teams of SSGC cut off 5,216 illicit connections in the targeted locations as part of their anti-theft operations.
The enforcement team confiscated pipes and other paraphernalia, along with other equipment and supplies utilized in the gas theft operations, during the raids.
The representative added that the accused would face consequences commensurate with the quantity of gas they had stolen.
