The PTI’s political future is in doubt since the electoral commission has voiced concerns regarding the party’s general council and central council elections in the absence of intra-party elections.
The ECP questioned how the various party organizations functioned in the absence of five years of PTI intra-party elections. The belief held was that the PTI had disintegrated and lacked any electoral emblem.
It is noteworthy that the PTI’s new intra-party elections had been met with opposition by the ECP. Following the initial hearing on April 30, the PTI was instructed to provide a response.
