KARACHI: Due to excessive atmospheric humidity, Dr. Sardar Sarfaraz, chief meteorologist for the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), stated that it “feels like” the temperature in the port city’s sea-facing neighborhoods could reach 44 degrees Celsius on Friday.

The meteorologist predicts that Karachi will see hot, muggy weather till the end of May.

“Due to the sea breezes, the humidity in the air will remain high,” he stated.

Karachi’s atmosphere had a 78% humidity level this morning; in the evening, it will range from 35% to 45%. In the port city, westerly or southwesterly winds are probably going to blow.

The port city’s temperature will range from 36°C to 38°C today and tomorrow (Saturday), with a possible 1°C reduction in temperature.
