The ongoing flight operation from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to the homes of Pakistani students has concluded.
4500 students came home as part of the program for returning students, for which the Pakistani government paid the costs.
According to a spokesperson for the Foreign Office, the students and their families in Pakistan were offended by the misleading information and had asked to be sent back home.
According to the spokeswoman, the students will decide whether or not to return to Kyrgyzstan; the country’s circumstances have returned to normal, and they encourage the students to pursue their studies online or through other means.
