Rana Sanaullah, the prime minister’s advisor on interprovincial coordination, stressed the importance of politics and politicians in the advancement of a nation on Tuesday.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, he emphasized that nations can only advance via sincere political participation and warned against the negative consequences of obstinacy and deceit, which he claimed cannot be categorized as true politics.
The minister used an interesting example to explain the idea of political retaliation in his speech. He related the tale of two buddies who share a room, but one of them always gets to sleep on the floor while the other dominates the bed.
The cycle of retribution is exemplified by the second person’s retaliation, which stops the first from using the bed when the opportunity presents itself.
The nation should concentrate on changing mindsets, according to Rana Sanaullah, who denounced lying and stubbornness as negative traits that impede the advancement of society. He argued for a movement to promote positive attitudes and urged for the identification and correction of these harmful tendencies.
He said, “Countries cannot advance on the basis of lies,” highlighting the importance of open and fruitful political discourse.
