Operational activities at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar have resumed following a brief disruption caused by a fire incident.
All flights, including those operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), resumed according to schedule, according to official confirmation.
A fire incident aboard a Saudia Airlines flight on Thursday led to the runway closure, which momentarily halted air traffic. But the authorities were on the scene quickly, making sure that all safety procedures were followed during the whole ordeal.
Airport authorities told passengers that flights today are scheduled to depart for Dubai, Sharjah, and Karachi.
The aircraft involved in the incident was taken off the taxiway for examination after the Air Accident Investigation Board crew quickly performed inspections. Under the manager of the airport’s direction,
