From July 1 to July 23, 2024, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (North) successfully stopped attempts to smuggle goods worth over 632 million rupees across several districts of Balochistan in cooperation with other authorities. Dera Murad Jamali, Barkhan, Pishin, Chaman, Nushki, Zhob, and Mastung were the locations of the activities.
Among the commodities confiscated were 14, metric tons of sugar and urea fertilizer, 2,652 tires, 287 packs of cigarettes, and 28,310 liters of Iranian diesel. Chinese salt, cell phones, and non-customs-paid automobiles were also seized and turned over to customs officials.
These items were being smuggled by means of passenger buses, trucks, and secret routes. FC Balochistan stopped these illicit activities in their tracks.
