KARACHI: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is a chance of light rain and drizzle on Thursday throughout Karachi, although the daytime temperature is expected to stay overcast and muggy.
This implies that despite the temperature having somewhat improved due to sporadic light showers that pounded Karachi for many days last week, the city’s residents will still want for a significant downpour.
According to the Met Office, the megalopolis’s lowest recorded temperature was 29.5 °C, with an 82% relative humidity.
In contrast, winds were blowing at a speed of twelve kilometers per hour, according to the PMD.
On July 22, meteorologist Jawad Memon predicted that the city would experience further monsoon rainfall.
He had stated that between July 24 and 28, Sindh might be impacted by a rain system that was building in the Bay of Bengal. He had stated that Karachi might get rain if Gujarat, an Indian coastal state, was affected by the same system.
