Reveles, who spent almost forty years working with Simmons, is still in deep mourning at her friend’s passing.
“I’m crying all the time. She told People magazine, “I still find it hard to believe what happened.”
He appeared calm to me when I saw him,” Reves remarked, then pointed out that his hands were clenched into fists. “That’s why I know it was a heart attack.”
She continued, “I had a heart attack a few years ago, and my hands did the same.”
Reveles took over of his Beverly Hills residence and kitchen duties, denying that she was ever his housekeeper. “There’s another housekeeper here who has worked here for forty years.
“And you know what?,” Reveles continued. His wish was fulfilled. Somehow, he was aware.”
Reveles insisted on preserving her friend’s memories even though she missed him. “I’d like to honor Richard. She remarked, “He died happy.” His “companion” was Reveles; they frequently shared meals and traveled and lived together.
He would hide and jump out, making such a huge noise that it would scare me to death if I was in the kitchen and I went into the living room,” she remembered. “I’d start screaming, ‘Richard, you almost killed me!’” Teresa, that hardly counts; he would chuckle.
