Beginning on Monday (today), the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a heavy rain advisory for a number of districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is anticipated that humid winds from the Bay of Bengal would move into the province’s higher regions, bringing with them heavy winds and rain to districts including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Dir, and Swat.
There is a considerable risk of landslides in hilly areas and urban flooding in low-lying areas due to the predicted weather.
All district administrations have been asked by the PDMA to maintain vigilance and take appropriate measures to minimize potential harm and guarantee public safety.
The authorities have asked the public to stay informed and heed any advice issued by local governments, and they will be actively monitoring the situation.
