In response to a medical emergency, the Pakistan Army airlifted a tourist from Karachi to Peshawar as part of a successful rescue operation in Kumrat. Due to flash floods and unfavorable weather, Muhammad Abid Khan and his family, who had gone from Karachi to Kumrat, became stranded.
The lack of critical medications put Khan’s health at jeopardy. The Pakistan Army quickly sent a chopper to carry out the rescue effort after learning of the situation.
After arriving in Kumrat on August 28, the tourists were left stranded on August 29 by flash floods. Khan sent a rescue request to the Pakistan Army, claiming dwindling medical supplies and health concerns.
