Iqbal Javed Bajwa, the Deputy Station Manager of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) based in the United Kingdom, resigned when it became apparent that his FA certificate from the Lahore Board was a forgery.
A representative with PIA verified the resignation and said that Bajwa was asked to leave after his phony academic qualifications were discovered.
According to sources, after being introduced by the finance manager of PIA in Birmingham on July 30, Bajwa first refused to step down, even after his phony degree was discovered.
But in the end, his family pressure forced him to step down.
The PIA representative restated that Bajwa’s matter was handled appropriately and that the airline has a zero-tolerance policy on false credentials.
