Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has signaled a harder stance amid current political turbulence by declaring an end to negotiations with all parties, including the establishment.
The former prime minister disclosed to the journalists on Tuesday while speaking to them in Adiala Jail that six party leaders had previously been allowed to have conversations with the establishment. He made it clear that he had never forbade anyone from having conversations.
The PTI founder expressed anger with the existing political environment by saying, “We have been cheated.” He also reaffirmed that the party will go ahead with its September 21 demonstration in Lahore without consulting anyone or getting permission to do so.
Imran Khan also touched on Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during the party’s Islamabad rally in his speech.
