Following a gathering in the Sangjani neighborhood of the capital that violated standard operating procedures (SOPs) by not ending the event by the designated deadline, the Islamabad police have detained a number of prominent PTI leaders.
Prominent individuals including PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat, Shoaib Shaheen, Zain Qureshi, Sheikh Waqas Akram, and twelve other PTI members were taken into custody as a result of the police action, which happened late on Monday night.
Marwat was arrested on his way home from a National Assembly meeting, and Shoaib Shaheen was taken into custody at his home. In a well-planned operation, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was taken into custody outside the Parliament House.
