Officers were seen holding the Miami Dolphins wide receiver in the incident captured on bodycam footage that was made public on Monday.
One of the officers kneeled on the player’s back while he lay on the ground, pressing his wrists against his lower back.
Hill, 30, called the events of Sunday “crazy,” and he was freed in time for the Dolphins’ 20-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
On Wednesday, though, he seemed more remorseful.
Does that mean they can now literally beat the very hell out of me? Without a doubt not,” Hill continued.
Ultimately, though, I wish I could go back and make a few slight adjustments.”
The Miami Dolphins denounced the police’s “overly aggressive and violent” behavior after the incident.
The team described the police conduct as “maddening and heartbreaking” in a statement that was put on X.
