Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a senior member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has stated that the approval of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) president Maulana Fazlur Rehman is necessary for the constitutional reforms to be implemented.
Following Fazl’s total rejection of the draft of the “controversial” constitutional package, which sought to alter Pakistan’s parliamentary and judicial systems, Senator Siddiqui made his remarks.
The PML-N senator stated on the Wednesday “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath” segment on News that Maulana “had no objection to the constitutional court or formula of appointment of judges.”
The JUI-F leader did not expressly mention the differences, according to Siddiqui, who also added that without him, the constitutional modifications would not be feasible.
