A broad operation has been launched by Lahore’s law enforcement agencies on anyone connected to the May 9, 2023 events in advance of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) scheduled Saturday gathering in the city.
The divisional superintendents of police are responsible for supervising the operations of the comprehensive action plan that the city’s police force has outlined.
Police officials state that all station house officers have been instructed to make an arrest of anyone who is still at large in relation to the incidents on May 9. The police are on high alert to maintain law and order as the PTI gets ready for a possible public gathering, which coincides with the crackdown.
