Concerns regarding the recently enacted Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Amendment Ordinance, which addresses matters pertaining to the upper court, including bench composition, have been voiced by senior puisne judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
Justice Shah stated that the judges committee was reorganized and Justice Munib Akhtar was removed from the committee’s membership within hours of the ordinance’s proclamation in a letter sent to the Supreme Court secretary on Monday.
