In his speech, the Duke of Sussex discussed “the pervasive threat that our online world poses to us, especially our children” at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York.
Following former US President Bill Clinton’s speech, Harry addressed the assembly and stated that social media laws and regulations “are different, state to state, country to country”.
“We may have different backgrounds, viewpoints, beliefs, and even access to the internet itself, but the one thing that we can universally agree on is the safety of our children,” he stated.
Why, therefore, are the executives of these obscenely powerful social media businesses still unwilling to adapt? Why do we subject kids to the lowest moral standards possible?”
Harry made a playful allusion to his childhood when he said to the assembly, “Some say kids will be kids, and well, that may well be true.” Children could encounter difficulties. I am somewhat knowledgeable about that.
“However, our children are the objective. The negative consequences of social media are intentional.
