A record one million eco-tourists visited Galiyat Valley this year, according to Capital Development Authority Director General Shahrukh Ali.
He underlined the government’s dedication to encouraging eco-friendly tourism methods that safeguard the area’s distinctive ecosystem and cultural legacy in addition to fostering economic development.
In an interview, Ali detailed the initiatives being taken to promote environmentally conscious travel in Galiyat, such as the construction of contemporary parking structures and the registration of more than 50 hotels and guesthouses to guarantee top-notch services for guests.
The objectives of this project are to raise tourism industry transparency, strengthen the local economy, and standardize lodging.
This year’s World Tourism Day theme, “Tourism and Peace,” emphasizes the role that travel plays in promoting global understanding and cultural exchange.
