RAWALPINDI: According to The News on Monday, accusations of involvement in violent protests and vandalism in Rawalpindi have been made against Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on grounds of terrorism.
Under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) and pertinent parts of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), authorities from the New Town police station filed the first information reports (FIRs) against the PTI leaders.
Amir Mughal, Simabiah Tahir, MPA Asad Abbas, Ijaz Khan, and over 100 other PTI leaders and supporters were among the cases filed at four police stations, according to the police: City, Waris Khan, New Town, and RA Bazaar.
