Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is now priced at Rs251.30 per kg after the government increased the price by Rs7.31 per kg.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) released the updated prices, which will go into effect on September 30 after midnight.
Ogra acknowledged in its letter that home LPG cylinder prices will be impacted by the price increase.
An increase of Rs86.28 has been made to the cost of a normal household cylinder, making it Rs2,965.
As people prepare for increased home gasoline bills, there is growing anxiety about inflationary pressures in the energy sector, which has led to this most recent hike. The government’s recurring evaluation of energy rates, which takes market movements into account, includes the modification of LPG pricing.
