The AAP said on Thursday that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had responded to the ED, questioning why he had been served with summonses when he was not an accused in the money laundering case related to the excise policy.
The Enforcement Directorate summoned Kejriwal last week for the fourth time and requested that he appear in person on Thursday.
The Aam Aadmi Party claimed that in order to prevent Kejriwal from running for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP wanted him arrested.
“The purpose of this is to prevent him from participating in the upcoming Lok Sabha election campaign. The party stated, “If the ED has stated that Kejriwal is not an accused, then why was he served with a summons?”
According to the AAP, their leaders does not take part in corruption.
