TikToker Samiya Hijab announced her decision to pardon suspect Hassan Zahid in the alleged kidnapping and threats case to the sessions court in Islamabad on Monday, saying it was “for the sake of Allah.”
After she testified, the court granted Zahid’s release.

Muhammad Ishaq, the investigating officer, told the court during the hearing before Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Aamir Zia that Samiya had granted the suspect a pardon. The plaintiff or a family member was then ordered to attend in person by the judge to verify the development.
Following a brief pause in the proceedings, Samiya Hijab made an appearance in court and gave a statement that was officially recorded.
