KURRAM: At least fifteen people were killed in a clash between two tribes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram area on Saturday, according to officials who spoke with News.
According to Kurram Deputy Commissioner (DC) Javidullah Mehsud, the terrible incident happened in the Kunj Alizai mountains, which are close to the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
“The six individuals who were injured have been taken to a medical facility,” declared the deputy commissioner. The official went on to say that efforts are being made to restore order to the district and make the roadways safe.
The local police reported that officers and security workers had arrived at the scene and were initiating an investigation into the altercation.
The authorities reopened the Pakistan-Afghan border last month, and the fighting ended.
