ISLAMABAD: The minority within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) political committee opposes the October 15 protest at D-Chowk, including PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PTI’s more sensible factions are attempting to have the protest call revoked. They contend that Pakistan’s holding such a demonstration on the day of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the nation’s capital is not in the country’s best interests.
Some minority members, including Asad Qaiser, Hamid Khan, and Raoof Hasan, also think that Pakistan has no interest in holding this kind of demonstration. Despite not being on the PTI’s political committee, Ali Muhammad Khan is also furious.
